The Android based Ouya gaming system has announced a retail release date of June 4th in North America and the UK. Haha. So last year, I backed this kickstarter project for a new, Android-based, hacker-friendly video game console called Ouya. It made over $8 million and was a total success. It’s actually becoming a reality now. But that reality is a bit too slow for some of those who backed it. The backers are starting to receive their units, and this is before it goes on sale at Amazon and a few other initial outlets/vendors. But it’s a kind of slow-rolling delivery, a process that is ramping up slowly, and one that may brush up against the official release. This prospect has stirred up indignation in a lot of people.
